Early one morning last October, we met with Captain Matt Mills at the fishing docks in Owls Head, Maine. The wooden boardwalk was slick and well worn, with strong hints of thawing fish in the air. Mills loaded up his vessel with fuel, bait, equipment and a cooler for the day and we headed out on his fishing vessel, the No Numbers II.
